Dad is progressing well and is looking and responding better each day. He is disconnected from most of the many tubes that were running from his body and he is eating and drinking normally.
Although Dad can move to the chair next to his bed with (lots of) assistance, he is still relatively weak. He will be moving from the hospital to a rehabilitation center in the next few days to work on his strength; they are still working on which one.
We are trying to get him reading glasses so that he can read all of the cards, letters and newspapers. After quite an adventure today, I grabbed two pair of glasses from his kitchen table and took them to the hospital only to discover neither were his "latest" ones. Ugh.
Anyway, we're glad that he is well enough to ask for them!
