Although Dad was drifting in and out, he was able to acknowledge a couple of questions we asked of him with a nod and shrug. It felt great to get a definitive response from him.
He is making progress albeit in very small increments. For this reason, I am going to change the frequency of the blog update to daily. If there are any significant events, I will create a special post.
Dad is still not ready for regular visitors as he is still in the Intensive Care Unit, on the ventilator and under heavy medication. Once he is ready for visitors, we will let folks know.
As Matt noted in his comment today, recovery will be a "long slog". Dad will need encouragement from all of us to get him through this difficult time.

Great news in at least some improvement in communications. We continue to lift Karl in prayer in Primetimers and in the prayer chain of about 20 persons. I have had a bad cough and congeston the past 8-10 days and have not visited Karl - he has enuf to fight without more. We also are lifting the family. In His love and ours, Pastor Marv Valade
