Dad was more awake yet today as they have reduced his pain medication again. He is uncomfortable due to pain in his back. During an episode of fidgeting, he pulled the line used for drawing blood and monitoring his blood pressure out of his arm causing quite a mess.
His dialysis was removed last night and he is without it today. Further tests will tell if he can remain off of the machine.
The doctors are trying to wean him from the ventilator with the hope of having him breathe without it by the end of the week. We are hoping too!

So glad to hear that Mr. Gerardi is more awake and off the dialysis for now. Every small step is a step in the right direction. Hoping for continued improvement today.!!
