It was another good day for Dad (and us!). We can now communicate as his voice is making a comeback. When we got there tonight, he was sitting up in a chair with no breathing assistance and had been "enjoying" this for hours. He is one tough fellow as he has had no pain medicine yet today.
He cannot drink anything yet due to the effect of the breathing tube on his ability to swallow without fluids going into his lungs but he had a little taste of jello today which made him happy and craving for more.
Dad is still trying to figure things out; what happened and how much time as gone by? Really? Unbelievable!
What is truly unbelievable is his progress in the last two days and we couldn't be happier!
